Chococo Chocolates

Established in Dorset back in 2002 by Claire & Andy Burnet, Chococo are a gorgeous brand and we're delighted to work with them!

They are a proudly independent artisan chocolate brand single-minded in their mission to tantalise taste buds with the most deliciously uplifting fine fresh chocolate experience in the UK. They are inspired by chocolate every day and hope to inspire you too!

Their passion for using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients and sustainable fine single origin chocolate to create delightfully surprising tastes has resulted in them winning over 100 national & international fine food awards to date.

While they may be a small indie brand based in Dorset, which has grown from a tiny upstairs shop above their first chocolate kitchen in a back street in Swanage, a small seaside town in Purbeck Dorset, to four Chocolate Houses across the South and their HQ in Holton Heath, they still make all their creations by hand and they care more than ever about their environmental impact which makes them a perfect match with our sustainability ethos.  Today, 100% of all their packaging is plastic-free.

Cyril's Soap Shed

Award-winning palm oil free goats milk soaps, handmade in Hampshire

Cyril's Soapshed are a small Hampshire soap company making natural goats milk soap using the raw milk from their own small herd of happy goats, living on a New Forest smallholding in Hampshire and close to the Wiltshire border.

The goats' milk soaps are made with natural oils and butters using the ancient and traditional cold process method. They use pure essential oils, herbs and root powders for fragrance, colour and texture. The goats milk soaps are luxuriously creamy and packed full of vitamins and minerals your skin will love! All of the soaps are palm oil free.

For hundreds of years it has been believed that goats milk has exceptional moisturising and healing properties. It is a similar pH level to human skin, and is naturally high in vitamins, minerals and alpha hydroxy acids, that nourish and rejuvenate. Goats milk soap works particularly well for sufferers of eczema, psoriasis and dry skin problems. The soaps are also excellent on normal skin, and can help prevent any problems.

Hattingley Valley Wines

From its birth as a farm diversification project, Hattingley has grown to become one of the leading wineries in the UK. Simon Robinson planted his first vineyard in 2008. The eco-friendly winery was purpose built in 2010 under the guidance of award-winning Head Winemaker and Director, Emma Rice, and now has a capacity of 600 tonnes.

Hattingley has over 100 awards to date and three ‘World Champion’ trophies in the cabinet; they are one of the most respected producers of English sparkling wines in the country. All of their wines are Vegetarian & Vegan friendly.

The Silver-washed Fritillary Butterfly features heavily throughout Hattingley’s branding; the Silver-washed Fritillary Butterfly is a summer resident in the South facing chalk-based vineyard indicating a healthy environment with a rich biodiversity. The Fritillary isn't seen everywhere but it's a lovely thing to behold, a bit like our English sparkling wines...

Sustainability remains at the forefront of Hattingley's minds:

  • Their loose fill chips are made from starch material, EcoFlo is a fully compostable void fill material and is 100% biodegradable. The chips are also fully soluble when saturated with water.
  • Their cardboard boxes can be put in with your household recycling.
  • Their single bottle corrugated sleeves are an eco-friendly, 100% recyclable and biodegradable protective solution.
  • All their booklets can be put in with your household recycling.
  • Their wine bottles can be placed into your household recycling as normal.
  • Their corks can be sent to recorkeduk.org where they can be repurposed into various products or donated to charities and schools for use in craft projects.

New Forest Tea

At the New Forest Tea Co. they believe it's not “just a cup of tea” and even the simplest cup of tea should be an experience to savour. They strive to provide an experience in every teacup and that’s why they only use full leaf tea sourced from the finest estates the world over in their compostable tea bag. All the tea estates used are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership which ensures better working conditions and education for all the hard-working tea pickers without who the New Forest Tea Company wouldn’t be able to do what they do.

From the early days of planning New Forest Tea Company they were determined that their product would leave no trace and that's why they invested in the latest packaging from several innovative suppliers.

THE TEA PYRAMIDS
Much has been made in recent times regarding the prevalence of plastic particles in high street/supermarket teabags and rightly so. For many years and still today, many companies continue to use teabag linings that are harmful to the environment and do not break down naturally. New Forest Tea Company are proud that their beautiful tea pyramids are not only packed with flavour but are 100% plastic-free and can be home composted. Each bag is made from cornstarch and will break down naturally once disposed of.

The New Forest Tea Company are committed to leaving no trace and doing our bit to maintain areas of natural beauty such as the New Forest for future generations.

Olives et Al

Based just over the border in Dorset, these guys sold everything they owned to travel the Med and beyond to find the recipes, techniques and traditions that launched Olives Et Al many years ago.

Inspired by doing things differently and over 27 years young, they’re still creating, sourcing and supplying genuinely natural and authentic foods and ingredients that aim to tread gently on the planet.  Furthermore all their products taste and look just the way it should without using artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives.  They begin with the finest ingredients, use original recipes (many handed down through the generations), add a bucket of passion and finish with minimal and elegant packaging to make some of the best food you are ever likely to taste. One thing you can be assured of is that quality and authenticity will never be compromised for the sake of production.

There are now a bunch of Oliveers busy Oliveering away - they all love what they do and we love what they do!

THE REAL CURE USE TRADITIONAL CURING, AIR DRYING & SMOKING TECHNIQUES TO MAKE EXCEPTIONAL BRITISH CHARCUTERIE
Meat is the most important ingredient in charcuterie. The Real Cure make their award-winning range of cured meats using free range British pigs and sustainably sourced wild venison. The pigs they use produce wonderfully marbled meat with just the right amount of fat making them ideal for British charcuterie.
They source grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef from a Jurassic Coast Farm in Dorset to produce their Bresaola.Their salami, chorizo and air dried hams are made using traditional artisan processes of smoking, curing and air drying and are absolutely stunning.

THE REAL CURE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT USING LOCALLY SOURCED, HIGH WELFARE AND NATIVE BREEDS

They ensure everything they use is responsibly sourced, which means wild deer and free range pork as well as locally sourced ingredients and suppliers where possible.
The venison they use for their charcuterie has grazed on a varied and natural diet and is specifically sourced from across the British countryside, making it some of leanest, and in our opinion, tastiest meat about.

The River Test Distillery

It starts with the location. At The River Test Distillery, Sarah and Jonathan Nelson craft ‘True River Spirit’ on the banks of the world famous River Test, in the heart of the English countryside in Hampshire.

The river is internationally renowned for its fly fishing and ‘gin-clear waters' and it is this backdrop that provides the inspiration behind The River Test Distillery.

Sarah and Jonathan wanted to make an outstanding gin, a gin which both complements a premium tonic and is distinctive enough to be enjoyed neat, as a sipping gin, simply with ice.  Their gin is the spirit of the river and its botanicals in a bottle, which in itself tells their story.

Choose from either their award-winning London Dry Gin - a classic with gently honeyed, floral notes and infused with handpicked meadowsweet flowers.  Or their special edition Chalkstream Gold which has a superbly smooth mouthfeel. Juniper takes centre stage, complemented by the subtle sweetness and unique flavours of Maris Otter barley. Bay and rosemary add a touch of complexity to the bright and botanical blend.

CONSERVATION MATTERS...

The distillery is situated in a setting that contains two Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) – the meadow and the river.  This conservation designation means the land must be managed appropriately to conserve the special features of the two sites. Sarah and Jonathan are proud that they have overseen the management of these vital areas and improved the conditions of these SSSIs.

The River Test Distillery is Winner of the Gin Masters Medal 2020 and Winner of the 'Best English London Dry Gin' in the World Gin Awards 2020.
