Chalkdown Afternoon Tea Hamper

Afternoon tea, with the volume turned up.  Our Chalkdown Afternoon Tea Hamper takes everything people love about a proper cream tea and puts a beautiful bottle of Hampshire sparkling wine at the front of it!

Chalkdown's Classic Cuvée is made in the traditional method from grapes grown on Hampshire chalk downland - fine persistent bubbles, fresh apple and brioche and an elegant finish.  It's the bottle that turns a Sunday afternoon into an occasion.

Around it: freshly baked fruit scones from The Forest Deli, our local café in Sway, with Rodda's Classic Cornish clotted cream and a jar of From Dorset With Love's Very Berry Jam. A New Forest Cake House tangy 'Lemon Drizzle' cake, baked just outside Ringwood and New Forest Shortbread's double gold award-winning Original Shortbread for the tea break.

To finish, Fordingbridge Fudge's clotted cream fudge made with Guernsey milk and butter from a farm less than a mile from their kitchen and a pouch of New Forest Tea Company's  refreshing 'Brockenhurst Breakfast'.

Wrapped and dressed in an extra large antique willow hamper basket, it makes a proper celebration gift: birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, a new home, a thank-you that needs to land, or a corporate gift with real local provenance.

A note on the clotted cream
We source everything we can from within the New Forest, Hampshire and Dorset. Clotted cream is our one exception - it simply isn't made here, and we weren't prepared to compromise on a proper cream tea.  So we've gone to the people who do it best: Rodda's have been making it in Cornwall since 1890 and nothing else comes close.
