Elegant, light and quietly surprising. B58 Winery's Beaulieu Red is grown near Beaulieu in the heart of the New Forest. Crafted by Sandy Booth, who revolutionised viticulture in Hampshire by applying his expertise in protected tunnel growing to wine grapes, producing results that have caught the attention of the wider English wine world.
Made with Swiss oenologist Guillaume Lagger's low-intervention approach, this is a red wine that prizes purity and finesse over weight. Aromas of blackberry, plum and hints of vanilla and spice lead onto a smooth, gently rounded palate, balanced by a clean acidity and a refreshing finish. Versatile and approachable, this is wonderful as an aperitif, alongside lighter food or simply chilled on a summer evening.
A distinctive addition to any New Forest hamper and a compelling introduction to what English red wine can be when grown in the right hands.
