Ewelina's Green Allotment Chutney is a vibrant, vegetable-packed preserve inspired by the seasonal abundance of her New Forest allotment in Sway. A medley of courgettes, tomatoes, peppers and onions are slow-cooked with warming spices to create a chunky, versatile chutney that's as at home alongside a wedge of mature cheddar as it is spooned over cold meats or stirred into a warming winter casserole.
Handmade in small batches by Ewelina, this chutney earned Bronze at the National Chilli Awards 2025 and a Great Taste Award One Star, fitting accolades for a recipe rooted in fresh, locally sourced ingredients and genuine craft. It's the kind of preserve that turns a simple cheeseboard or a cold meat platter into something truly special.
