Danebury's Schönburger is a wine that has captivated experts and enthusiasts alike: “Danebury is an expert producer of this floral, enchanting grape and this delicious white wine is one of my favourites ever made from this variety. The perfect aperitif style wine, it is also delicious with smoked salmon and seafood starters. It is the vinous equivalent of a lazy stroll through the beautiful English countryside in bloom.”
Danebury Vineyard lies near Stockbridge on the Hampshire downs, established in 1988 on the site of a historic 19th-century racehorse training yard, its chalk-rich soils producing wines of distinctive mineral elegance.
This Schönburger, an aromatic German-origin grape that thrives in English conditions, is a perfect showcase for the estate: delicate aromas of lemon, grapefruit and pear on the nose, followed by golden apple, white peach and a beautiful English hedgerow complexity on the palate. Vibrant, refreshing and effortlessly charming.
Wonderful as an aperitif or alongside fish, smoked salmon, chicken and sauce-based dishes.
Contains Sulphites. 11% ABV. Please enjoy responsibly.
